Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a 1099 orthopedic surgeon to evaluate and treat workers with musculoskeletal injuries. You will work with a team including physical therapists, chiropractors, and other staff under the occupational physician's referral. Collaboration with employers for active case management is essential.

The role emphasizes rapid recovery with high-quality care, flexible scheduling, and a patient-centered approach in California and neighboring regions.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• California medical license in good standing.
• Board certification or eligibility in orthopedics.
• Active DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification.
• Malpractice insurance coverage.
• Proficiency with MS Office and EMR/patient management software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with work-related injuries and diagnose musculoskeletal issues.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including PT, medications, injections, or surgery when needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document care thoroughly in EMR and coordinate with employers on case management.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
