Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a 1099 orthopedic surgeon to evaluate, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, chiropractors, and others under the referral of an occupational medicine physician.

You will collaborate with employers in active case management. The position emphasizes rapid recovery, aggressive scheduling, and back-to-work goals, with access to state-of-the-art equipment and dedicated support staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree and an unrestricted California medical license.
• Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice.
• Board certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Active DEA registration required.
• Current BLS and AED certification; ACLS preferred.
• Current medical malpractice insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients to diagnose musculoskeletal problems from work-related injuries.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including PT, meds, and surgical interventions when necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Treat fractures and musculoskeletal conditions through injections, electrodiagnostic, and other interventions.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients about conditions and rehabilitation; document in EMR.
