Job summary

Fryelands Elementary in Monroe, WA, seeks a Paraeducator – Specialized Instructional - 1:1 Student Support to assist instructional staff and support a student with specialized needs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ESSA-qualifying credentials or alternatives, and completion of required certifications. 180 days, 6.5 hours per day, 8:40 AM–3:40 PM, starting immediately, with a 1:1 student focus.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• May meet ESSA requirements via degree, credits, apprenticeship or approved test.
• First Aid, CPR/AED, CPI and state paraeducator certifications required.
• Willingness to work with diverse student needs and follow IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with lessons and materials.
• Support students with varying abilities and behavior plans.
• Tutor individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Monitor safety and maintain confidential student records.
• Follow district procedures and help create a positive learning environment.
