Concord Hospital in New Hampshire is seeking a Patient Sitter to provide 1:1 monitoring with continuous visual observation for adult or pediatric behavioral health patients or those at risk for suicide.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will observe for changes in condition and promptly notify nursing staff as needed. The role requires strong communication, swift response, and the ability to work well with others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with patients and families.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Communicates with patients and significant others in a respectful manner.
• Orients patient and/or significant other(s) to situation and surroundings.
• Documents care provided and reports to the RN observations of patient's physical, social and mental status.
• Maintains appropriate boundaries with patients.
• Ensures continuous supervision of patients at all times. The usage of cell phones, laptops, books, etc. is strictly prohibited.
• Alerts nursing staff when patients need help with activities of daily living.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Adheres to relevant policies, procedures and standards.
• Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
