Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant to provide 1:1 monitoring for behavioral health patients and those at risk for suicide, falls, or delirium. The role includes continuous observation in-person or via video, with emphasis on safety, communication, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include reporting to the RN, maintaining boundaries, and assisting with basic needs as directed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• American Heart Association Heart Saver within 6 months of hire.
• Management of Aggressive Behavior within 6 months of hire.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients and significant others in a respectful manner.
• Orients patient and/or significant other(s) to situation and surroundings.
• Documents care provided and reports to the RN observations of patient’s status.
• Maintains appropriate boundaries with patients.
• Continuously supervises patients; never leaves unattended unless relieved by nurse.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
