Job summary

Virtua Health in Burlington Hospital seeks a part-time One to One Observer to provide constant patient observation and support the health care team. The role emphasizes safety, compassionate interaction, and maintaining high ethical standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completing an Observer course or equivalent. You will communicate changes in patient status to the RN, assist orientation, and perform other duties as assigned in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Training/Certifications/Licensure: Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
