Job summary

Virtua Health in Burlington is seeking a One-to-One Observer to provide constant personal observation of a patient and to support the healthcare team and patient family. This on-site, part-time role requires careful interaction and adherence to professional ethics.

Required are a High School diploma or GED and successful completion of the Observer course or equivalent. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and on-site shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
