Job summary

Virtua Health in Burlington, VT is seeking a One to One Observer to provide constant patient observation and ensure a safe environment on the Day Shift. You will communicate with the healthcare team, patients, and families, and uphold professional ethics while supporting care delivery.

The role is part-time with 24 total weekly hours, on-site work, and a focus on compassionate monitoring. Prior observation training is required, with competitive hourly pay and full benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
