Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a One-to-One Observer to provide constant patient observation and safety in a hospital setting. You will support the healthcare team, communicate with patients and families, and uphold high professional ethics in daily practice.

• Must have strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
