Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a One to One Observer to provide constant patient observation, ensuring a safe environment and calm interaction. This part-time role supports the healthcare team, patients, and families while upholding professional ethics.

The observer will communicate changes in patient status to the RN, assist in orientation, and perform other duties as assigned. The position is on-site at Mount Holly, NJ, with a day shift and a 24-hour weekly commitment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient's status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
