Job summary

Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Washington is hiring a 1:1 Paraeducator for the Structured Program, working 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 6.5 hours per day, 180 days per year.

The position supports a student with 1:1 needs under a certificated teacher, collaborating with special services staff to deliver individualized and small-group instruction. The responsibilities include implementing IEP goals, behavior supports, transitions, and safety, while assisting with academic routines and daily living

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• WA State Paraeducator qualifications or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher(s) with daily supervision to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Administer tests, update records, and monitor student progress under teacher direction.
• Assist with managing student behavior and implementing strategies for diverse needs.
