Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator, Learning Support for Truman Elementary in Vancouver, WA. This is a one-on-one position supporting students under the supervision of certificated staff.

The role requires handling classroom activities, behavior support, and collaboration with the teaching team to meet individualized student goals. Starting date is immediate; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Documentation verifying high school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience preferred in educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support certificated staff in developing specific goals for each student.
• Assist with classroom activities and progress monitoring.
• Lead small groups or individualized instruction in reading, writing, math, and social/behavioral skills.
• Communicate with general education teachers about accommodations and modifications.
• Implement behavior support plans as directed.
