Job summary

Edgewood Elementary in Vancouver, WA seeks a Paraeducator for Learning Support to work one-on-one with a student. The position is 6.5 hours per day for 9 months annually, non-exempt and aligned with the VPS/VAESS job standards.

Responsibilities include supporting the certificated staff, implementing educational activities, assisting with data entry, and maintaining confidential student information while fostering a safe, supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Documentation of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Official transcripts or ParaPro results may be requested.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support certificated staff in developing goals for each student.
• Assist with classroom activities and individualized instruction.
• Data entry, record keeping, and reporting as directed.
• Monitor student behavior and implement behavior plans as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality and collaborate with the teaching team.
