Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 1:1 support to individuals in their homes and the local community. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while helping clients achieve independence and engagement in daily life.

Responsibilities include 1:1 in homes and community, daily living assistance, promoting independence, accompanying to appointments, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in community-based settings.
• Previous caregiving, DSP, or human services experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support in patient homes and within the local community
• Assist with daily living activities and personal goals
• Encourage independence, socialization, and community involvement
• Accompany clients to appointments, activities, and outings
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
• Follow individualized care and support plans
