Job summary

Proud Moments ABA is seeking Behavior Technicians to provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients’ homes across New Jersey. You will implement behavioral plans under BCBA supervision, collect progress data, and support families with training on plans.

Flexible part-time evening/afternoon hours, paid training, and a supportive team environment are offered. A high school diploma or GED is required; prior experience with children or developmental disabilities is preferred, with reliable transportation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Prior experience providing support to children or adults with behavioural challenges, developmental delays, or special needs preferred.
• Exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided.
• Reliable personal transportation with the ability to commute consistently to assigned work locations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, family, and organisational information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and document information accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to stay organised and adapt to changing schedules or priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a client in their home to implement behavioural plans designed by Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).
• Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan and report progress.
• Support BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties.
• Physically keep up with clients as they move about the session area(s). This will require many physical activities including, but not limited to, standing, sitting, bending, lifting 25+ pounds, running, squatting, kneeling, and generally keeping pace with children from 2-15 years old.
