Job summary

Cosmo offers 1:1 tutoring with a flexible, set schedule for teaching K-12 ELA to students based in North America via the Cosmo curriculum. You’ll meet weekly for 50-minute sessions, creating a welcoming, engaging learning environment as a reliable role model.

This independent contractor role requires a Bachelor’s Degree, 3+ years of experience teaching K-12 ELA/ESL/EFL, and a strong internet connection. Availability is required 3–10 PM EST on weekdays or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required and 3+ years of teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards is preferred.
• Fast and reliable internet with a suitable computer.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
