Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a 1:1 aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in special and alternative education settings. You will work one-on-one to implement IEP goals, support behavior plans, and record progress data.

The role involves de-escalation, crisis management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, with comprehensive benefits and tuition/credentialing support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals in their IEP.
• Assist in development/modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans and record data on behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Use behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint if necessary to ensure safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for social/behavioral skills.
• Supervise students and ensure proper movement to school locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement plans.
• Provide personal care support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
