Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support children with autism through ABA therapy in 1:1 and small-group settings. The role emphasizes data collection, collaboration with BCBA/BC, and direct client care to promote language, social, and school readiness skills.

Candidates must hold or pursue BACB RBT certification, have a High School diploma or GED, and demonstrate reliability, safety awareness, and strong communication with families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willing to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB test if not current.
• RBT certification or willingness to complete 40-hour training and pass competency within 45 days.
• Reliable transportation and, if required, valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training per the individualized treatment plan.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time and per procedures.
• Communicate client progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Report all critical incidents and safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparation of client materials and assessments.
