Description:

The Communications, Signal Processing, and Networking Center (CoSiNC) in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Istanbul Medipol University, seeks to recruit Post-Doctoral Associates. The candidates will be under the supervision of CoSiNC Leader Professor Hüseyin Arslan and are expected to conduct international projects and carry out research in the following areas:

• Waveform and PHY layer design
• Cognitive Radio and Software Defined Radio
• Integrated Sensing and Communication
• PHY / Cross-Layer Security
• Multiple accessing, scheduling, and radio resource management (RRM)
• Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs)
• Interference Management - Multi-antenna systems (MIMO, RIS, CoMP)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences
• Strong verbal and written skills in English
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and capacity to pursue independent research

These positions will be based at Medipol University in Istanbul, and the candidates must be ready to relocate to Istanbul, Turkey.

Communication, Signal Processing, and Networking Center (CoSiNC) was established at Istanbul Medipol University in 2014 under the leadership of Prof. Hüseyin Arslan. At CoSiNC, we strive to remove implicit biases and establish a welcoming teaching/research environment, leading to the formation of a premier international research center with more than 40 researchers presently, representing many countries.

CoSiNC has successfully completed more than 20 projects and published more than 200 journal and conference papers. We contribute to the development of wireless communication through tens of journal papers, conference papers, and patent applications every year. We also organize and attend various international conferences to spread awareness of the challenges and research activities toward realizing the 6G vision.

In addition to following and contributing to academic literature, we distinguish ourselves by keeping track of the standardization activities of organizations such as 3GPP, ITU, and Wi-Fi. This enables us to align our research activities with industrial/commercial developments with our signature zeal, dedication, and enthusiasm powered by the goal of spreading the benefits of wireless communication to mankind.
