Job summary

DeFacto is seeking an experienced warehouse & logistics leader for the Marmara region to drive shipment processes, lead teams, and optimize KPIs across operations. The role emphasizes digital transformation, budgeting, and high-tempo execution.

You will work with cross-functional teams (Transportation, Inbound, VAS, and Business Development) to improve efficiency, ensure compliance, and advance warehousing automation initiatives. Fluency in English and a valid B license are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7 years hands-on experience in warehouse and logistics shipment processes.
  • Preferably experienced in automated warehouse systems (ASRS, Shuttle, Miniload, Goods-to-Person).
  • Strong project management mindset with process development and digital transformation focus.
  • Data-driven decision making with KPI management and budget tracking.
  • Strong leadership, team development, planning and coordination skills.
  • Sufficient English to follow technical docs and write communications.
  • Proficient in WMS/ERP and warehouse automation software.
  • Experience in annual operational budgets, cost targets, and variance tracking.
  • OHS/Quality awareness and MS Office proficiency.
  • Valid Class B license and male candidates: military service completed.
  • Flexible to adapt to high-tempo operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipment processes with timing, performance, and execution aligned to company goals.
  • Lead operational teams and support staff development.
  • Monitor KPIs: daily routing, parcel/vehicle fill, loading times, shipment accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Product Receiving/Inbound to resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with VAS to ensure export handovers and schedule compliance.
  • Partner with Business Development to analyze processes and drive Agile projects.
  • Optimize use of resources and coordinate with Maintenance for equipment availability.
  • Drive continuous improvement across quality, cost, speed, and learning.
  • Prepare and track annual budgets and analyze variances.
  • Promote Quality, Sustainability, and OHS standards and participate in meetings.

What Do We Expect from You?
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field,
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in warehouse and logistics shipment processes,
  • Preferably experienced in or strongly familiar with operational processes of highly automated warehouse systems (e.g., ASRS, Shuttle, Miniload, Goods-to-Person),
  • Strong project management mindset with a focus on process development, continuous improvement, an interest in next-generation logistics technologies, and the ability to contribute to digital transformation,
  • Strong background in KPI management, operational performance analysis, budget/productivity tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong leadership, team development, planning, and coordination skills,
  • Sufficient English language skills to follow technical documentation and conduct written communication,
  • Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and warehouse automation software,
  • Experienced in preparing annual operational budgets, setting cost targets, resource planning, and tracking budget variance,
  • High awareness of Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems,
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications,
  • Valid Class B driver’s license with active driving experience,
  • Military service completed for male candidates,
  • Flexibility to adapt to a high-tempo work environment based on operational needs.
Job Description:
  • Manage shipment processes accurately in terms of timing, performance, and execution in accordance with company goals, principles, and procedures,
  • Lead operational teams, manage the performance of shipment staff, and support their professional development,
  • Coordinate with the Transportation department to monitor and improve operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including daily vehicle routing, parcel/vehicle fill rates, loading times, and shipment accuracy,
  • Collaborate with the Product Receiving/Inbound department to resolve stock discrepancies, uphold packaging standards, and eliminate operational flow bottlenecks,
  • Work in alignment with the Value-Added Services (VAS) team to ensure export shipment handovers and processes are executed seamlessly and according to Schedule,
  • Partner with the Business Development team to conduct process analyses, develop efficiency-enhancing projects using Agile methodologies, and actively contribute to digital transformation initiatives,
  • Optimize the use of operational resources and consumables, coordinating with Maintenance to maintain high equipment availability and operational continuity,
  • Continuously improve operations across quality, cost, speed, and employee development dimensions to prepare warehouse operations for future requirements,
  • Prepare annual operational budgets, track expenditures against approved targets, analyze budget variances, and take corrective action plans as needed,
  • Promote Quality, Sustainability, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards across the team and actively participate in OHS meetings to maintain regulatory compliance.
