Job summary

Anadolu Isuzu in Kocaeli seeks a Vehicle Cybersecurity and Functional Safety Engineer to lead security initiatives across bus and truck platforms, driving threat modeling, security reviews, and compliant practices. You will collaborate with system, software and hardware teams to ensure secure architectures and participate in safety analyses.

The role requires strong English, deep knowledge of automotive E/E architectures, cybersecurity concepts, and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong command of English.
• Solid knowledge of automotive E/E architectures (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Gateway, Telematics, ADAS, etc.)
• Experience or strong interest in Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434)
• Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) concepts (HARA, FSC, TSC, ASIL decomposition)
• Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA)
• Attack surface analysis
• Security concept development
• Safety analysis methods (FMEA, FTA, DFA)
• Understanding of vehicle communication protocols (SAE J1939, UDS, DoIP, SOME/IP)
• Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 11898, ISO 16750, ISO 7637, ISO 14229
• Familiarity with secure boot, secure diagnostics, cryptographic concepts, PKI basics
• Strong analytical thinking and system-level problem-solving capability Team-oriented mindset and cross-functional communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead vehicle-level cybersecurity activities across bus and truck platforms.
• Perform Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA) in compliance with ISO 21434.
• Develop Cybersecurity Concepts and support implementation with suppliers.
• Conduct cybersecurity reviews of ECUs, telematics, gateway, and cloud-connected systems.
• Support UNECE R155 compliance and CSMS-related technical activities.
• Perform Functional Safety analyses (HARA, safety concept review).
• Collaborate with system, software, hardware, and supplier teams to ensure secure & safe architectures.
• Evaluate penetration test results and support mitigation strategies.
• Monitor cybersecurity field incidents and manage lessons learned.
• Contribute to secure software update (SUMS / R156) and vehicle lifecycle cybersecurity processes.
• Ensure alignment with OEM cybersecurity governance and global regulations.
