- Review customer specifications, material standards, and aerospace requirements, translating them into process controls, inspection plans, and work instructions,
- Ensure heat treatment compliance with AMS2750, including SAT, TUS, instrumentation calibration, and monitoring of critical process and quenching parameters,
- Monitor chemical treatment and painting processes, including bath analyses, concentration, contamination, processing times, and environmental conditions,
- Analyse process control and laboratory results, identify trends, and initiate actions to prevent deviations and maintain process stability,
- Lead process qualification, requalification, and validation activities, coordinating laboratory testing, technical documentation, and customer approvals,
- Manage PTP Scheme, IRP, and customer‑specific special process approvals, ensuring documentation remains current and compliant,
- Lead Nadcap audit preparation, gap analyses, internal audits, and corrective action follow‑up to maintain audit readiness,
- Investigate nonconformities using root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and fishbone analysis; coordinate containment and corrective actions, verifying effectiveness before process restart,
- Maintain special process instructions, control plans, quality records, and traceability, ensuring effective document control and compliance,
- Assess the impact of changes to equipment, chemicals, process parameters, and documentation on process qualification and customer approvals,
- Verify equipment calibration and personnel qualification records in coordination with relevant technical teams,
- Analyse quality and production data through ERP systems and report process performance, compliance risks, and action status to management,
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and external laboratories to improve process capability and drive continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline,
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in special processes, preferably within the aerospace manufacturing industry,
- Practical experience in chemical surface treatment, anodizing, painting, and/or heat treatment of aluminium alloys,
- Working knowledge and practical application of AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap requirements, and AMS2750,
- Experience in process qualification, requalification, validation, and customer approval activities.
- Knowledge of chemical bath control, analytical testing, surface preparation, and coating or paint performance testing,
- Knowledge of SAT, TUS, thermocouples, instrumentation calibration, and temperature monitoring systems,
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, process standards, and customer‑specific requirements,
- Experience in internal audits, customer audits, and corrective action management; direct involvement in Nadcap audits is a strong advantage,
- Practical knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D,
- Experience with ERP systems, technical reporting, and quality data analysis,
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with a high level of attention to detail,
