Job summary

DEICO Engineering Inc. in Ankara is seeking a Production Engineer to design and optimize production processes for electronic assemblies, cable harnesses, and mechanical components at our Macunköy facility.

You will monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to resolve issues. The role requires a strong background in industrial or mechatronics engineering, experience with ERP/MRP and MS Office, and the ability to read technical drawings and Gerber files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in defense industry manufacturing processes and standards, particularly AS9100 and IPC-A-610.
• Strong knowledge of planning production workflows for complex systems and creating work orders.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience using ERP/MRP systems, preferably production modules, for material and process tracking.
• Ability to analyze technical drawings and PCB design documentation, including Gerber files and BOMs, and prepare them for production.
• Strong ability to monitor, coordinate, and follow up on activities across the production floor.
• Ability to take ownership, demonstrate initiative, and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic production environment and collaborative team structure.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal.
• Valid Class B driving license and active driving experience.
• Currently residing in Ankara or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize production processes and workstations for completed product designs, including electronic assemblies, cable harnesses, and mechanical components.
• Monitor machine and equipment performance (OEE, etc.) and coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to address breakdowns and operational issues.
• Analyze technical problems encountered during production, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate workflow and communication between Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams.
• Act as a bridge between the Design and Production teams by providing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback.
• Manage project-based production processes and track changes within the applicable product configuration.
• Monitor and evaluate production efficiency, scrap rates, and workforce capacity to support performance improvement.
• Provide technical leadership to the production technician team and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards.
