Job summary

Crs Soft is seeking a Senior 3D Artist to build immersive game environments and characters across platforms, collaborating with designers, artists and developers to raise style and quality. You will create props and environments, optimize assets for game engines (Unreal Engine), and contribute to pipelines; a strong portfolio and proficiency in Blender/Maya, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, and lighting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience collaborating with multiple disciplines in production.
• Proficiency in Blender and Maya for 3D modeling.
• Strong texturing skills using Substance Painter/Designer/Photoshop.
• Ability to create environments in Unreal Engine.
• Solid understanding of animation, lighting and rendering principles.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, efficient props and environment models.
• Prepare 3D models for rigging and in-engine integration.

Job Description

As a Senior 3D artist you’ll be responsible for building out immersive 3D game experiences, working with an internal team of designers, artists and developers to help drive style, consistency and push the quality of what is possible across a wide range of platforms. Working closely with art and design leads to develop design pipelines to help streamline development and creating unique environments, characters, levels and experiences.

Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree from a related field,
• Experience working closely with different disciplines in a production environment,
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software packages, especially of Blender & Maya,
• High competency with texturing softwares (Substance Painter, Designer, Photoshop),
• Ability to create realistic environments in a game engine, specifically in Unreal Engine,
• Strong understanding of the principles of animation, lighting and rendering,
• Ability to adapt to new technologies,
• Ability to stay productive and complete tasks efficiently with high quality,
• Strong problem-solving skills,
• Ability to constructively evaluate/critique work of peers,
• Strong organizational, communicational and interpersonal skills,
• An attentive eye for light, color & composition,
• Ability to collaboratively build and expand upon the vision & ideas of others to create something bigger,
• Ability to work across multiple art styles from realistic to super stylized,
• A perfect team player with excellent communication skills,
• Following current trends and being able to forecast the upcoming ones,
• A portfolio of your art that will reflect your ability and skill set to work with different techniques and styles,

Responsibilities

• Creating high-quality, efficient, realistic, textured models of props and environment assets,
• Preparing 3D models for rigging,
• Configuring meshes and materials in-engine,
• Validating models and optimizing scenes for game environments,
• Contributing to workflow documentation and process improvement,Effectively collaborating with peers as well as other teams,
• Research and development of new tools and techniques,
• Managing art asset libraries and other support systems
