Job summary

World Business Lenders, LLC is seeking an Asset Resolution Counsel to lead the legal strategy and portfolio management for non-performing commercial real estate loans. You will work with in-house and outside counsel, servicers, and borrowers to maximize recoveries while managing risk and timelines.

The role requires a JD and substantial experience in litigation, foreclosure, and loss mitigation across a U.S.-based portfolio.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a nationally accredited U.S. law school.
• Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real estate loss mitigation.
• Experience managing non-performing loan pools and REO portfolios.
• Experience supervising, developing, and mentoring case management staff.
• Litigation management tools familiarity.
• Experience working for a U.S.-based company.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal strategy, portfolio management, and resolution for non-performing real estate loans.
• Collaborate with internal teams, outside counsel, servicers, and borrowers.
• Develop and execute resolution strategies including litigation, foreclosure, and REO disposition.
• Monitor litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure activity and deadlines.
• Direct and liaise with attorneys, agencies, and vendors supporting loss mitigation.
• Prepare analysis of debtor finances and recovery estimates.
• Provide guidance on settlement proposals and bid instructions.
• Review portfolio performance and adjust recovery projections.
