Job summary

World Business Lenders, LLC is seeking an Asset Resolution Counsel to lead the legal strategy for a portfolio of non-performing real estate loans. You will work with in-house and outside counsel, manage litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure activities, and drive loss mitigation initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a law degree, experience in commercial litigation and REO, and a track record of supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree with U.S. licensure preferred.
• Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real estate loss mitigation.
• Experience managing non-performing loan pools and REO portfolios.
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
• Experience working for a U.S.-based company.

Responsibilities

• Lead the legal strategy for a portfolio of non-performing real estate loans.
• Coordinate with in-house and outside counsel, servicers, and borrowers.
• Negotiate settlements and bidding instructions.
• Monitor litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure activities, and deadlines.
• Conduct portfolio analyses and recoveries assessments quarterly.
