Job summary

World Business Lenders seeks an Asset Resolution Counsel to steer the legal strategy for non-performing real estate loans. You will lead portfolio management, coordinate with internal and external counsel, and drive loss mitigation initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a law degree from a U.S. law school and extensive experience in litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and REO management. Fully remote with USD compensation and PTO.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a U.S. accredited law school.
• Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real estate loss mitigation.
• Experience managing non-performing loan pools and REO portfolios.
• Experience supervising, developing, and mentoring staff.
• Experience with litigation management tools.
• Experience with a U.S.-based employer.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal strategy, portfolio management, and resolution for non-performing real estate collateralized loans.
• Coordinate with in-house and outside counsel, loan servicing teams, and borrowers.
• Monitor litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure activities, and deadlines.
• Direct liaison with attorneys, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize recoveries.
• Analyze debtors' financial position and historical payment performance.
• Prepare quarterly reviews of portfolios and recovery estimates.
