Job summary

World Business Lenders is seeking an Asset Resolution Counsel to lead the legal strategy, portfolio management, and resolution efforts for a portfolio of non-performing commercial real estate loans. You will partner with internal teams and outside counsel to maximize recoveries while minimizing legal risk and timelines.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree (US law school preferred).
• Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real estate loss mitigation.
• Experience managing non-performing loan pools and REO portfolios.
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
• Knowledge of litigation management tools and UCC/loan document analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal strategy, portfolio management, and resolution for non-performing real estate loans.
• Liaise with internal teams, outside counsel, and borrowers to maximize recoveries.
• Monitor litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure activities and timelines.
• Direct and supervise staff in Asset Resolution Department.
• Prepare and evaluate recovery analyses, settlement recommendations, and budgets.
