Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Operational Excellence Lead to drive standardization and process improvements across the European Logistics and Services network, bridging Operations, Product, Technology and Process Owners.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, enable digital transformation, and promote Lean thinking with data-driven decisions, delivering scalable, customer-focused improvements across the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience in Operational Excellence, Process Excellence or Continuous Improvement roles.
• Strong knowledge of forwarding processes.
• Hands-on experience with freight forwarding platforms such as CargoWise or similar systems.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading transformation and change initiatives.
• Ability to translate operational challenges into scalable process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Drive Operational Excellence initiatives that improve productivity, quality, service performance and process compliance across the region.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvements.
• Enable Digital Transformation - Drive adoption of new systems, automation solutions and digital tools.
• Partner with technology and platform teams to improve user experience and business outcomes.
• Standardise processes - align regional SOPs with global standards.
• Reduce operational variation and promote best practices across countries.
• Act as the Process & Systems Expert for design, enhancements and changes.
• Support testing, deployment and implementation of new capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving across Operations, Commercial, Product, Finance and Technology.
• Remove roadblocks and drive end-to-end process improvements.
• Build Continuous Improvement Culture with Lean thinking and data-driven decisions.
• Share successful solutions across the network.
