Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Business Process - Subject Matter Expert to drive operational excellence across the European Logistics and Services network. You will standardize processes, boost system adoption, and lead transformation initiatives bridging Operations, Product, Technology and Process Owners.

You will identify improvement opportunities, simplify ways of working, support digitalisation and ensure scalable, efficient, and customer-focused operations across countries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience in Operational Excellence, Process Excellence or Continuous Improvement roles.
• Strong knowledge of forwarding processes.
• Hands-on experience with freight forwarding platforms such as CargoWise or similar systems.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading transformation and change initiatives.
• Ability to translate operational challenges into scalable process improvements.

Responsibilities

Purpose of the role:

Drive operational excellence across the European Logistics and Services network by standardizing processes, improving system adoption, and leading transformation initiatives. Acting as the bridge between Operations, Product, Technology and Process Owners, you will identify improvement opportunities, simplify ways of working, support digitalisation and ensure scalable, efficient and customer-focused operations.

Responsibilities:

Drive Operational Excellence

• Lead initiatives that improve productivity, quality, service performance and process compliance across the region.

Enable Digital Transformation

• Drive adoption of new systems, automation solutions and digital tools.

Act as the Process & Systems Expert

Your background:

5+ years' experience within freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain operations

Proven experience in Operational Excellence, Process Excellence or Continuous Improvement roles

Strong knowledge of forwarding processes

Hands-on experience with freight forwarding platforms such as CargoWise or similar systems

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies

Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
