Job summary

Karbontürk seeks a Mechanical Project Executive to lead mechanical activities from engineering through commissioning. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and testing, ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence.

You will oversee contractors, review drawings and specs, monitor progress, and drive timely project delivery while maintaining compliance with HSE and industry standards. Willingness to live in Adana is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years in project management or mechanical construction management.
• Proven experience managing mechanical works for industrial plants.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM projects, process plants.
• Strong experience in mechanical equipment erection, steel structures, piping, rotating equipment, conveyors, kilns, turbines, and related systems.
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to read and review P&IDs, GA drawings, equipment layouts, and specifications.
• Strong planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress monitoring skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work and live in Adana.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mechanical works through the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate mechanical engineering activities and ensure timely completion of drawings and specs.
• Manage fabrication and installation of equipment, structures, piping, conveyors, kilns, and other process equipment.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, suppliers, and internal project team.
• Review and approve mechanical drawings, layouts, datasheets, and submittals.
• Monitor fabrication quality and site installation progress for compliance.
• Coordinate erection, alignment, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Identify risks, interfaces, and delays; implement corrective actions.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, including scheduling and performance.
• Track procurement, FAT/SAT, delivery, and installation of critical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, environment, and industry standards.
• Support planning, cost control, change management, and progress reporting.
• Participate in technical meetings with suppliers and project management.
• Prepare and review schedules, method statements, inspection plans, and progress reports.
• Lead mechanical troubleshooting during commissioning and switch from construction to operations.
• Ensure proper documentation and handover of mechanical systems to operations.
