Job summary

Sigmamuhendislik seeks an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer in Istanbul to manage quantity take-offs, payments, and procurement for mechanical systems. The role involves coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring timely project progress, and maintaining strict quality controls on-site.

You will organize maintenance, track documentation, and communicate continuously with construction sites, both within the city and elsewhere, to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant role.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong coordination and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Residing in Istanbul – Anatolian side or Izmit area.
• Willing to work on projects in-city and out of town.
• No travel restrictions.
• Able to oversee progress payments, final accounts, work completion and measurement attachments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and progress payments on time and without errors.
• Identify machinery and equipment needed for daily production and initiate procurement.
• Prepare material cost estimates in coordination with purchasing.
• Organize and plan maintenance of mechanical systems with contractors.
• Follow up on projects, schools, and other implementations.
• Ensure mechanical works are carried out fully and without errors.
• Identify and correct installation errors.
• Follow up on progress payments, planning, and reporting processes.
• Work according to Quality Management System procedures.
• Track on-site works and documentation.
• Maintain constant contact with construction sites, identify problems, and develop solutions.
• Direct and manage subcontractors and coordinate the work.

• At least 10 years of experience in a relevant position,
• Proficient in MS Office and Autocad,
• Strong coordination skills, able to handle work scheduling and time management,
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills,

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Preparing cost estimates for materials to be purchased in coordination with the purchasing department,
• Carrying out the necessary organization and planning with companies regarding the maintenance of mechanical systems,
• Able to follow up on projects, schools, and our other implementation processes,
• Will ensure that mechanical works are carried out and completed fully and without errors,
• Will ensure that installation errors are identified and corrected,
• Will follow up on progress payment, planning, and reporting processes,
• Will work in accordance with Quality Management System procedures and instructions,

• Able to stay in constant contact with the construction site, identify problems, and develop solutions,
