Job summary

Randstad Türkiye is seeking a Field Operations Manager to oversee industrial field activities across multiple countries. You will plan manpower, mobilize/demobilize teams, and coordinate with project, engineering, logistics, and supply chain groups to ensure timely, safe project execution.

The role requires 10+ years in industrial field operations, strong leadership, and fluency in English, with willingness for extensive international travel and relocation to Çorum, Türkiye.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical-Electronics Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional experience in industrial field operations.
• Strong international field experience and site management.
• Experience managing multiple sites and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage field operations for projects across multiple countries.
• Plan manpower and field teams according to project requirements.
• Assign supervisors, technicians and field personnel to projects.
• Oversee field mobilization and demobilization processes.
• Coordinate subcontractors and installation contractors.
• Monitor installation progress against project schedules.
• Prepare daily and weekly field progress reports.
• Identify delays and risks and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate field requirements with Project Management, Engineering, Logistics and Sourcing.
• Ensure equipment, materials and technical drawings are ready prior to mobilization.
• Monitor installation quality and adherence to technical requirements.
• Control field operation costs including personnel and travel.
• Ensure HSE compliance across all field activities.
• Develop field supervisors and personnel.
• Resolve operational issues among customers, subcontractors and teams.
• Support commissioning readiness via Mechanical Completion processes.
• Capture lessons learned for future projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of field execution standards.

Job description

We are looking for a "Field Operations Manager" for our client, a project-based manufacturing company engaged in electro-mechanical activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage field operations for projects being executed simultaneously across multiple countries,
• Plan manpower and field teams according to project requirements,
• Ensure the appropriate assignment of supervisors, technicians and other field personnel to projects,
• Manage field team mobilization and demobilization processes,
• Coordinate subcontractors and installation contractors,
• Monitor installation progress in line with project schedules,
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of daily and weekly field progress reports,
• Identify delays, operational issues and risks at an early stage and ensure that necessary corrective actions are taken,
• Coordinate field requirements with Project Management, Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain teams,
• Ensure that all required equipment, materials, technical drawings and documentation are ready prior to mobilization,
• Monitor installation quality and ensure that field applications comply with technical requirements,
• Manage operational efficiency and the effective utilization of field personnel,
• Monitor and control personnel, travel, accommodation, subcontractor and other field operation costs,
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements,
• Manage and develop field supervisors and field personnel,
• Resolve operational issues and conflicts that may arise among customers, subcontractors and Alapala teams,
• Coordinate Mechanical Completion processes and activities required for commissioning readiness,
• Document lessons learned from completed projects and ensure knowledge is captured for future projects,
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of field execution standards and operational processes,
• Provide regular reports to senior management on physical progress, manpower, issues, risks and estimated completion dates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline,
• Preferably 10+ years of professional experience,
• Proven experience in industrial field operations, installation, commissioning and/or site management,
• Strong international field experience,
• Proven experience managing multiple sites and subcontractors simultaneously,
• Preferably experience in sectors such as industrial machinery, process plants, EPC, food processing technologies, cement, steel, energy, material handling systems or similar industries,
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical installation and preferably electrical installation processes,
• Proven experience in managing field personnel and subcontractors,
• Strong knowledge of mobilization and demobilization processes,
• Experience in planning, coordination and cost control within field operations,
• Strong knowledge and awareness of occupational health and safety (HSE) and field quality standards,
• Practical, hands‑on and solution-oriented management approach,
• Strong communication, coordination and leadership skills,
• Good command of English,
• Willingness and availability to undertake extensive international travel,
• Based in Çorum or willing to relocate to Çorum permanently.
