Job summary

Çalık Enerji is seeking a Mechanical Manager for the Engineering Division at our Istanbul headquarters. The role leads selection, sizing, and verification of critical equipment for large EPC projects, and manages vendor relations and TBE processes to ensure code-compliant deliverables.

You will drive coordination across mechanical, process, civil, and electrical teams and implement international standards and best practices across all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-scale EPC projects.
• Willingness to travel internationally for meetings, FATs, and site visits.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal) essential for global coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee selection, sizing, and verification of critical equipment for high-scale EPC projects.
• Lead the preparation of material requisitions and manage Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) with vendors and subcontractors.
• Review and approve vendor documents ensuring compliance with project specs and international codes.
• Ensure coordination between mechanical, Process, Civil, and Electrical teams to prevent design conflicts.
• Drive implementation of international standards and internal engineering best practices across all mechanical deliverables.

We are looking for a "Mechanical Manager" in Çalık Enerji Headquarters - Engineering Division located in Istanbul.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the selection, sizing, and verification of critical equipment (Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, HRSGs, Compressors, Cooling Towers, etc.) for high-scale EPC projects.
• Lead the preparation of complex material requisitions and take final responsibility for Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE). Manage technical relations with global vendors and subcontractors.
• Review and approve vendor documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international codes (EN, ASME, API, TEMA, etc.).
• Ensure flawless coordination between the mechanical team and Process, Civil, and Electrical departments to prevent design conflicts.
• Drive the implementation of international standards and internal engineering best practices across all mechanical deliverables.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Significant experience (typically 15+ years) in mechanical engineering for Power Plants (Simple or Combined Cycle)
• Deep expertise in Static and Rotating equipment, thermal cycles, and mechanical balance of plant (BOP).
• Comprehensive knowledge of international codes and regulations (ASME, API, EN, ISO).
• Professional fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential for global coordination.
• Willingness to travel internationally for technical meetings, factory tests (FAT), and site visits.
