Job summary

Sofitel Istanbul Taksim seeks an experienced Banquet Sales Manager to drive revenue across weddings, social events, corporate meetings, conferences, banquets, and other group functions. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will lead opportunities from inquiry to contracting and coordinate handover to operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong sales capabilities with superb organizational and relationship-management skills, ensuring seamless event execution in a luxury hotel

Qualifications

• University degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years in hotel banquet, event, catering, or MICE sales, preferably in international luxury hotels.
• Strong knowledge of Istanbul corporate, wedding, event, and MICE markets.
• Excellent negotiation, closing, and relationship-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop banquet, wedding, social, corporate, and conference business.
• Identify opportunities and build relationships with corporations, agencies, and planners.
• Handle inquiries efficiently and convert qualified leads into contracts.
• Conduct site inspections, client meetings, and presentations; oversee proposals and contracts.
• Negotiate rates while protecting profitability and maximizing event revenue.
• Maintain active sales pipeline and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
