Responsabilités

• Support advisory and litigation matters across IP, media, and commercial law.
• Assist with trademark prosecution, filings, oppositions, and portfolio audits.
• Draft and review licensing, distribution, production, and talent agreements.
• Conduct legal research and draft petitions, objections, and submissions.
• Assist with data protection/privacy compliance projects and notices.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to multinational and domestic clients.
• Review marketing campaigns for regulatory compliance and advertising law.

Devin Law & IP is seeking a Legal Trainee to join the team.

Responsibilities

The Legal Trainee will support the team across advisory and litigation matters, including:

• Intellectual Property: Assisting with trademark prosecution proceedings before TÜRKPATENT (preliminary clearance searches, filing applications, drafting oppositions, appeals, and non-use defense submissions); supporting design and patent filings; assisting with anti-counterfeiting strategies, customs seizures, brand protection, trademark portfolio audits, and specialized IP litigation.
• Copyright & Media: Drafting, reviewing, and redlining licensing, distribution, production, synchronization, talent, and option agreements; conducting comprehensive rights clearance reviews; assisting in contract negotiations and regulatory assessments for global and domestic media entities.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Conducting in-depth statutory and jurisprudential legal research, drafting petitions, preliminary objections, and procedural submissions across a broad range of contentious matters-including commercial, contractual, intellectual property, employment, and lease disputes; actively assisting with hearing preparations, evidentiary reviews, enforcement proceedings, and mandatory mediation sessions.
• Data Protection & Privacy (KVKK/GDPR): Supporting end-to-end data privacy compliance projects and ongoing advisory mandates; drafting, localizing, and updating privacy notices, explicit consent mechanisms, data transfer instruments, processing inventories, data processor agreements, and internal governance policies; tracking regulatory updates and Board precedents; assisting with data subject access requests (DSARs) and official correspondence before the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority.
• Corporate & Commercial: Providing day-to-day legal support to multinational and domestic clients; drafting, negotiating, and revising commercial contracts, board resolutions, and internal corporate guidelines; conducting corporate maintenance workflows, company structural changes, and regulatory risk reviews.
• Advertising & Consumer Law: Reviewing marketing campaigns, claims, promotional materials, and packaging for regulatory compliance; assisting in inquiries, defenses, and audit procedures before the Advertising Board and consumer dispute committees.
• Maritime & Shipping Law: Assisting in advisory, regulatory, and contentious maritime matters; conducting research on maritime claims, vessel arrest and release procedures, cargo disputes, charterparties, bill of lading terms, and marine insurance matters; drafting correspondence and procedural petitions before commercial and maritime courts.
