Job summary

Oznur & Partners Law Firm seeks a qualified Lawyer with at least 2 years post-qualification experience to join our international practice in Istanbul. • Oznur & Partners is seeking a qualified Lawyer with at least 2 years of post-qualification professional experience to join our growing, internationally focused legal team.
• The position will be based at Oznur & Partners’ new Vadi Istanbul office, which will be opening soon.
• The ideal candidate should have professional experience in citizenship and residency by investment, corporate and commercial law, contract law, real estate law, foreign direct investment, cross-border transactions, and international legal matters, with particular ability to work directly with international clients.
• Candidates are also expected to have hands‑on experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and general judicial and court proceedings.
• The role involves direct communication with international clients, active participation in client meetings and negotiations, drafting legal opinions and agreements, managing litigation and other legal proceedings, and assisting with cross‑border transactions and international legal matters.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university’s Faculty of Law.
• Admission to practise law in Türkiye and active membership in a Turkish Bar Association.
• At least 2 years of active professional experience as a lawyer at a reputable law firm or legal consultancy practice.
• Professional experience in citizenship and residency by investment programs, corporate and commercial law, real estate transactions, foreign direct investment, cross-border transactions, and legal advisory services for international clients.
• General knowledge of international commercial matters and an ability and willingness to work on cross-border legal matters involving foreign clients, companies, counterparties, and jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in contract law, particularly in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Hands‑on experience in litigation, dispute resolution, court hearings, and general judicial proceedings.
• Advanced/fluent written and spoken English, sufficient to conduct meetings with international clients, communicate complex legal matters professionally, and actively participate in negotiations.
• An official English language proficiency certificate such as IELTS, TOEFL, YDS/YÖKDİL, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and legal technology, including knowledge of the legal aspects of AI, relevant regulatory frameworks, and practical applications of AI within the legal profession, as well as a willingness to use these technologies effectively in professional practice.
• A valid Class B driving licence and active driving experience are preferred.
• Strong communication, representation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take responsibility and independently manage files and legal processes when necessary, while also being a highly collaborative team player.
• Willingness to work with clients and professionals from different countries and to thrive in an international and multicultural working environment.
