Job summary

Saint-Gobain Türkiye is seeking a motivated Junior Legal Counsel to join the Country Legal Department at our Istanbul Maltepe Headquarters on a fixed-term basis. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in an in-house corporate law setting, supporting senior lawyers across commercial, regulatory, and corporate matters.

You will conduct legal research, draft documents, and monitor regulatory developments while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a leading university.
• Recent law school graduate with interest in developing a career in an in-house legal environment.
• Excellent command of written and spoken Turkish and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational environment and collaborate with regional and global stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to senior members of the Legal Department and relevant business units.
• Assist with a broad range of legal matters, including commercial, contractual, corporate, regulatory compliance matters.
• Support the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts and other legal documents.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare legal opinions, reports, correspondence, and other documents.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and communicate key developments to the team.
• Assist with identifying and assessing legal and regulatory risks and support the implementation of actions.
• Support the legal team in responding to day-to-day legal queries from business and technical teams.
• Assist with corporate, administrative, and other legal projects as required.
• Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reports, trackers, and other legal records.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across functions and provide practical, business-oriented legal service.

Role Purpose

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law graduate to gain broad, hands‑on experience in an in‑house corporate legal environment. Working closely with senior members of the Legal Department, the Junior Legal Counsel will support a wide range of legal and business matters, including commercial and contractual matters, legal research, regulatory compliance, corporate matters, and day‑to‑day legal support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal support to senior members of the Legal Department and relevant business units.
• Assist with a broad range of legal matters, including commercial, contractual, corporate, regulatory compliance matters.
