Job summary

Johnson Controls in Istanbul is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to ensure reliable IT systems across the Marmara region. You will provide on-site hardware and software support, assist end-users with incidents, and participate in system upgrades.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT operations, strong Windows Server and networking knowledge, and fluency in English. The role requires on-site work with occasional travel within the region and close cooperation with regional/global IT teams.

Qualifications

What You Will Do

• Ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and support of IT systems and infrastructure across the assigned geographical region.
• Provide on-site technical assistance, including hardware troubleshooting, software installation, configuration, and issue resolution.
• Support end-users by addressing daily IT requests, incidents, and service needs.
• Participate in system upgrades, deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for IT assets, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with regional and global IT teams to align with Johnson Controls’ technology standards and security requirements.

How You Will Do It

• Deliver hands-on support at the Istanbul office and customer/partner locations when required.
• Apply structured IT incident management and problem-solving methodologies to ensure timely resolution.
• Use company-approved tools and platforms to monitor system performance, track tickets, and manage configurations.
• Follow cybersecurity and compliance guidelines to safeguard systems and data.
• Communicate clearly with users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Work independently while escalating critical issues to senior engineers or global support teams when necessary.

What We Look For

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations, technical support, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server fundamentals, network fundamentals, and end-user device management.
• Hands-on experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work on-site and travel within the designated region when required.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
