Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks an IT Operations Specialist to maintain and support IT systems across the region, primarily at the Istanbul office and client sites.

You will handle hardware and software tasks, resolve incidents, and document configurations to support daily operations. The role requires a university degree in IT or related field, 3+ years of IT operations experience, strong Windows and networking knowledge, and willingness to travel within the region while communicating effectively

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and support of IT systems and infrastructure across the assigned geographical region.
• Provide on-site technical assistance, including hardware troubleshooting, software installation, configuration, and issue resolution.
• Support end-users by addressing daily IT requests, incidents, and service needs.
• Participate in system upgrades, deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for IT assets, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with regional and global IT teams to align with Johnson Controls’ technology standards and security requirements.
• Deliver hands-on support at the Istanbul office and customer/partner locations when required.
• Apply structured IT incident management and problem-solving methodologies to ensure timely resolution.
• Use company-approved tools and platforms to monitor system performance, track tickets, and manage configurations.
• Follow cybersecurity and compliance guidelines to safeguard systems and data.
• Communicate clearly with users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Work independently while escalating critical issues to senior engineers or global support teams when necessary.

What We Look For

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations, technical support, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server fundamentals, network fundamentals, and end‑user device management.
• Hands‑on experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally.
• Strong communication skills and customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work on‑site and travel within the designated region when required.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
