Job summary

BS Executive Search is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Sales & Marketing Director for a well-established 5-star city hotel in Istanbul.

The successful candidate will lead the hotel's commercial sales activities with a strong focus on room sales, corporate accounts, agencies, groups, MICE, congresses, banqueting and events. A hands-on leader with an established Istanbul network is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Hospitality/ Tourism Management, Business Administration, Marketing).
• Strong track record in Sales & Marketing within 5-star city hotels.
• 10+ years hospitality experience, including 4–5 years in a managerial position.
• In-depth knowledge of Istanbul hotel market, segments and competition.
• Proven strength in room and active corporate sales; experience with corporate accounts, agencies, groups, MICE, congresses, banqueting and events.
• Established and active corporate/client network in Istanbul.
• Understanding of sales targets, budgeting, pricing and revenue-driven management.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Commercially minded, proactive and results-oriented; English fluency; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hotel's sales and marketing strategy.
• Drive room sales and growth across corporate, agency, group, MICE and events channels.
• Deliver agreed sales, occupancy and revenue targets.
• Manage and develop the client portfolio; identify new business opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies and event partners.
• Monitor market dynamics, pricing trends and competitive landscape in Istanbul.
• Contribute to pricing, positioning and commercial strategies.
• Represent the hotel at trade fairs and client meetings; lead sales events.
• Manage the sales budget and monitor performance; lead and coach the sales team.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on performance and market developments.
