What is the job waiting for you?
- Designing interior trim designs for new and existing vehicle models and monitoring their correct implementation.
- Conducting economic and engineering feasibility studies for new designs.
- Creating aesthetically pleasing and functional trim concepts suitable for vehicle interiors.
- Selecting materials and colors that are consistent with the brand's design language and target audience.
- Choosing durable, lightweight, and aesthetically pleasing materials for interior trim parts (leather, fabric, plastic, wood, etc.)
- Evaluating the fire safety, sound insulation, and hygiene properties of materials.
- Ensuring that parts such as seats, buttons, control panels, and maintenance covers, as well as all assembly and disassembly processes, are ergonomic and user-friendly.
- Evaluating factors such as interior lighting, ventilation, noise, vibration, and ease of entry and exit to enhance passenger and driver comfort.
- Determining the most suitable production methods (injection molding, vacuum forming, RTM, hand lay-up, etc.) for the production of trim parts.
- Creating 3D models of trim parts and preparing detailed technical drawings
- Creating technical documentation encompassing all data and results generated during the design process
- Defining trim parts to be used as off-site products in accordance with engineering standards, customer requirements, and project specifications.
What we are looking for?
- At least 5 years of experience in automotive interior engineering design - trim
- Graduation from Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering departments of universities
- Knowledge in vehicle interior design (interior trim design), ergonomics and regulations, materials science (especially interior trim materials used in the automotive industry), production processes and methods (molding, upholstery, assembly, etc.), mathematical surface design practice and theory
- Advanced knowledge of CATIA and proficiency in other CAD/CAM software (NX, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Proficient in problem-solving and analytical thinking,
- Open to learning and curious
- High communication skills
- Constructive, solution-oriented approach
- Knowledge of project management and design expertise processes
- Reside or willing to live in Adana or İstanbul
