Job summary

FEV Türkiye, part of the global FEV Group, seeks an experienced automotive engineer to lead development projects in interior, exterior, D&C or HVAC. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Turkey and abroad, using CATIA V5, Siemens NX or Creo, and apply PLM tools to ensure design integrity.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years in automotive, English fluency, travel willingness, and hands-on experience with ISO/TS 16949, APQP and PPAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive industry.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Experience with CATIA V5, NX or Creo in vehicle development.
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia).
• Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP; GD&T, FMEA.
• Willingness to travel; able to work at Teknopark Istanbul or Bilişim Vadisi.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams from concept to SOP.
• Prepare technical reports, RFQs and client communications.
• Lead 3D/2D design using CATIA V5, NX or Creo.
• Ensure design quality and align with project milestones.

What You Will Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s or PhD is a plus)
• Fluent level English; German is a plus
• Excellent communication skills gained through work in global, cross-functional teams
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Proven track record in one of Interior, Exterior, D&C or HVAC development projects
• Familiarity with automotive product development processes and valid experience on Passenger car or commercial vehicle development (OEM or Tier1)
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, technologies, and materials is preferred
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, design specifications, and guidelines
• 2–5 years of CATIA V5, Siemens NX, or Creo experience in vehicle development projects
• Handle data management, version control, and technical documentation through PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia)
• Awareness of automotive quality standards (e.g.,ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP)
• GD&T and FMEA knowledge
• Team-oriented mindset and structured working style
• Willingness to travel
• Able to work at Teknopark Istanbul or Bilişim Vadisi

What Will You Work On

• Proactively participate in design review meetings and propose effective design solutions
• Cooperate with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers from concept phase to SOP
• Prepare and deliver technical reports, tracking reports, presentations, RFQs, and RFIs to clients and suppliers
• Perform 3D design and 2D detailing activities using CATIA V5, Siemens NX, or Creo
• Support Project Engineering activities by coordinating design deliverables, monitoring timing and milestones, ensuring technical consistency across components, and acting as an interface between design, analysis, and validation teams
• Demonstrate proactive behavior by anticipating potential design or process issues, taking initiative to improve product quality, and driving continuous improvement within the team
• Work flexibly at customer sites when necessary, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with client engineering teams
