Job summary

Arena is seeking a Foreign Trade Executive to join its dynamic team in Turkey. The role focuses on managing end-to-end import/export operations, liaising with customs brokers and logistics providers, and ensuring compliant processes in line with Green Deal objectives.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Economics/International Trade/Logistics, strong English skills, and significant experience in foreign trade and logistics. A strategic, analytical mindset with a proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics & Administrative Sciences, International Trade, or Logistics.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
• Experience at managerial or senior specialist level in foreign trade and international logistics.
• Knowledgeable in YYS processes and SSH/AEEE obligations.
• Sustainability mindset with knowledge of Green Deal and sustainable supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export operations in line with legislation and budget targets.
• Coordinate relations with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers, monitoring costs and performance.
• Ensure compliant execution of customs clearance, transportation, and related processes.
• Coordinate YYS processes and ensure controls and documentation are up to date.
• Monitor SSH and AEEE obligations and coordinate related processes for compliance.
• Identify operational risks in foreign trade and lead cost-optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to projects aligned with Green Deal and sustainable supply chain objectives.
• Monitor changes in legislation and inform stakeholders accordingly.
• Track KPIs and develop action plans for improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end import and export operations in line with applicable legislation, company policies, and budget targets.
• Manage relationships with customs brokers, international freight forwarders, and logistics service providers, monitoring service quality, costs, and performance.
• Ensure the efficient, compliant, and uninterrupted execution of customs clearance, transportation, delivery, and related operational processes.
• Coordinate YYS processes and ensure that required controls, documentation, and practices remain up to date.
• Monitor SSH and AEEE obligations and coordinate the relevant processes to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
• Identify operational risks across foreign trade and logistics processes and lead initiatives focused on cost optimization and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of projects aligned with Green Deal and sustainable supply chain objectives.
• Monitor changes in applicable legislation, ensure their integration into company processes, and inform relevant stakeholders accordingly.
• Track and report operational performance indicators (KPIs) and develop action plans to address areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Graduated from a university with a degree in Economics and Administrative Sciences, International Trade, or Logistics.
• Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experienced at a managerial or senior specialist level in foreign trade, import and export operations, customs legislation, and international logistics processes.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in YYS processes and practices.
• Possess the knowledge and experience required to manage SSH processes.
• Have a good command of waste management and AEEE legislation.
• Keep up to date with national and international foreign trade legislation and effectively manage its implementation.
• Knowledgeable about sustainability, the Green Deal, and sustainable supply chains, with a development-oriented mindset.
• Have strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Have strong communication skills, a results-oriented approach, and a strategic perspective.
