Job summary

TCL Electronics Türkiye is seeking an experienced Import Supervisor to manage end-to-end import operations and ensure compliant, timely delivery of goods into Türkiye. The role requires coordinating with international suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in import operations, strong knowledge of Turkish customs regulations, and proficient English communication. ERP experience (SAP) is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of import operations experience in electronics, home appliances, HVAC, or similar industries.
• Solid knowledge of Turkish customs regulations and international trade documentation.
• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import operations including shipment planning, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners for timely shipments.
• Monitor import documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure compliance with Turkish customs regulations and import legislation.
• Track shipment status, customs clearance progress, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor import costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, and Sales for accurate planning.
• Maintain import records and prepare operational reports and performance analyses.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce delays and costs.
• Assist in resolving customs, documentation, and logistics issues with stakeholders.

TCL Electronics Türkiye is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Import Supervisor to manage import operations and ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant flow of goods into Türkiye. The successful candidate will coordinate with international suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure smooth import processes in line with company procedures and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import operations, including shipment planning, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners to ensure timely shipments.
• Monitor import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other required documents.
• Ensure compliance with Turkish customs regulations, import legislation, and relevant trade requirements.
• Track shipment status, customs clearance progress, delivery schedules, and potential operational risks.
• Monitor import costs, freight expenses, customs duties, and other related charges, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
• Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure accurate planning and delivery.
• Maintain accurate import records and prepare operational reports, shipment tracking updates, and performance analyses.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce delays and costs.
• Support the resolution of customs, documentation, and logistics issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in import operations, preferably in electronics, home appliances, HVAC, or a similar industry.
• Solid knowledge of Turkish customs regulations, import procedures, and international trade documentation.
• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers.
• Good understanding of Incoterms, international transportation methods, and import cost structures.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional and international teams.
