Job summary

ESARJ is seeking experienced lawyers to join our Legal and Compliance Councelling team in Turkey. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts for the company, and preparing legal opinions for business units.

You will monitor legislation, assess risks, and provide practical, solution‑driven recommendations while coordinating with authorities and external counsel on complex matters related to PDPL, competition, energy market regulations, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and minimum 6 years of professional legal experience.
• Experience in contract law, commercial law, and compliance processes.
• Knowledge of PDPL, competition law, energy market regulations, and governance.
• Fluency in English and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts for the company.
• Prepare legal opinions and assess legal risks for business units.
• Coordinate compliance with PDPL, ethics, and governance processes.
• Monitor EMRA and e-mobility regulations; inform relevant teams.
• Coordinate with external law firms and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Support litigation, enforcement, debt collection, mediation, and other dispute processes.
• Provide practical legal solutions aligned with business needs.

Job description

We are looking for fellow team members for our Legal and Compliance Councelling team.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts to which the company will be a party,
• Contribute to the preparation of new contract types, templates, and legal documentation,
• Evaluate legal requests from business units and prepare legal opinions,
• Assess commercial and legal risks and provide solution-oriented recommendations to relevant business units,
• Provide legal coordination for competition law compliance, inspection, review, and investigation processes,
• Provide legal coordination for litigation, enforcement proceedings, debt collection, mediation, and other dispute resolution processes,
• Follow up from a legal perspective on correspondence and processes carried out with public authorities and regulatory bodies,
• Monitor legislative changes, EMRA regulations, and e-mobility regulations, and inform relevant business units accordingly,
• Provide legal support for PDPL, ethics, compliance, policy, and procedure processes,
• Support action plans, reporting, and internal coordination processes under the responsibility of the Legal and Compliance Department,
• Support the coordination of processes carried out with external law firms and consultants when necessary.

What we expect

• Bachelor’s degree in Law,
• Minimum 6 years of professional legal experience,
• Experience in contract law, commercial law, law of obligations, corporate law, labor law, Turkish Personal Data Protection Law — PDPL, competition law, and compliance processes,
• Knowledge and experience in ethics, corporate governance, energy market regulations, technology law, and contract management processes,
• Preferably training/certification in Turkish Personal Data Protection Law — PDPL, competition law, compliance, ethics, corporate governance, energy market regulations, technology law, or contract management,
• Knowledge of competition law inspections, reviews, and investigation processes,
• Experience in litigation, enforcement proceedings, debt collection, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution processes,
• Experience in processes carried out with public authorities and regulatory bodies,
• Knowledge of Energy Market Regulatory Authority — EMRA regulations, e-mobility, electric vehicle charging services, and related regulatory frameworks,
• Knowledge and experience in legal processes related to intellectual property, information technologies, technology contracts, sustainability, and energy transition,
• Competence in contract drafting, review, negotiation, legal opinion preparation, risk assessment, and reporting,
• Proficiency in MS Office applications,
• Strong analytical thinking; practical, solution-oriented, and result-driven approach,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong planning, organization, and follow-up skills,
• Ability to work closely with business units and develop practical legal solutions aligned with business needs,
• Fluency in English.
