Job summary

Intertech Information Technology and Marketing Inc. is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and drive the company-wide target architecture and multi-year roadmaps.

You will own the governance framework, evaluate platforms, and guide cross-functional delivery teams in large-scale modernization programs. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in IT with 4+ years in enterprise architecture, possess TOGAF/Archimate expertise, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• TOGAF certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise target architecture and the transition roadmap towards it.
• Build and keep current the application portfolio and capability heatmap with a quantified business case.
• Own architectural principles and governance processes and ensure they are applied.
• Provide architecture framing for portfolio planning, platform investments, and core database migration readiness.
• Lead technology radar and lifecycle management: adopt, contain, retire with timelines.
• Assess vendor and low-code platforms for strategic fit and total cost, report to Architecture Committee.
• Coach solution architects and delivery leads on enterprise-level thinking and strategic planning.
• Experience with core banking modernization or large database/platform migrations.
• Understand banking regulations and data residency implications.
• Address AI governance topics: model lifecycle, AI platform architecture, responsible AI controls.

Job description

• 10+ years in IT with at least 4 years in enterprise architecture, ideally in banking or financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; TOGAF or comparable certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience defining target architectures and multi-year roadmaps for large, heterogeneous application landscapes and getting them adopted.
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and methods (TOGAF, capability modelling, ArchiMate or equivalent) and of EA tooling.
• Sound technical understanding of modern platforms: microservices, API management, event streaming, cloud and container platforms, data platforms and integration middleware.
• Experience with architecture governance in an organization running many concurrent delivery teams and programs.
• Excellent structuring, writing and presentation skills; fluent English.

What You'll Do

• Define and maintain the enterprise target architecture (business capabilities, application, data, integration and technology layers) and the transition roadmap towards it.
• Build and keep current the application portfolio and capability heatmap; identify redundancy, technical debt and modernization candidates with a quantified business case.
• Own architectural principles, standards and reference architectures, and operate the governance process that applies them: intake, review, exceptions and decision records.
• Provide the architectural framing for portfolio planning: sequencing of BPR programs, platform investments and the core database migration readiness track.
• Run technology radar and lifecycle management: what we adopt, what we contain, what we retire, and by when.
• Assess vendor and low-code platforms against strategic fit, total cost and lock-in, and present recommendations to the Architecture Committee and executive management.
• Coach solution architects and delivery leads on enterprise-level thinking and act as the architectural voice in strategic planning forums.
• Experience with core banking modernization or with large database and platform migrations.
• Knowledge of banking regulation and its architectural implications (data residency, outsourcing, business continuity).
• Exposure to AI governance topics: model lifecycle, AI platform architecture, responsible AI controls.
