Job summary

Intertech Information Technology and Marketing Inc. seeks a seasoned Quality Engineering leader to define and drive the test strategy across API, UI, contract, performance, and security testing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software quality and test engineering, including at least 4 years managing test automation teams for complex enterprise or banking systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks and tools for API and UI testing (Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, Postman or Karate), performance testing (JMeter, k6 or Gatling) and contract testing.
• Strong programming skills in C# or Java and experience automating within .NET-based ecosystems.
• Proven experience integrating automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab or similar) and working with containerized test environments.
• Solid understanding of test data management, environment management and non-functional testing for transaction-heavy systems.
• Track record of driving cultural change: moving organizations from manual, late-stage testing to engineering-owned quality.
• ISTQB Advanced or Expert level certification.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the quality engineering strategy: test pyramid, automation coverage targets, environment strategy, test data management and shift-left practices.
• Build and lead a team of test automation engineers and quality coaches; set standards, career paths and ways of working.
• Design and deliver the test automation platform and frameworks (API, UI, contract, performance, security testing) integrated into CI/CD pipelines with clear quality gates.
• Drive the reduction of long-running manual regression cycles through risk-based test selection, parallelization and automation, and measure the outcome in cycle time and defect escape rate.
• Own quality metrics and reporting for management: coverage, flakiness, defect leakage, mean time to detect and release readiness; make quality visible and actionable.
• Work with Architecture, Release Management and Platform teams on environment provisioning, feature flags, versioning and rollback practices that make continuous delivery safe.
• Evaluate and introduce tooling, including AI-assisted test generation and maintenance, where it delivers measurable productivity gains.
• Banking or financial services experience, including regulatory and audit expectations for testing evidence.
• Experience testing microservices alongside legacy monolithic systems and managing their release dependencies.
• Experience with observability-driven quality (synthetic monitoring, production testing) and with AI-assisted testing tools.
• ISTQB Advanced or Expert level certification.
