Job summary

Intertech Information Technology and Marketing Inc. is seeking a senior Enterprise Architect to lead a team shaping the enterprise target architecture for core banking, channels, and integrations.

You will guide transitions from legacy monoliths to .NET microservices while aligning with governance, data strategy, and regulatory considerations. You will chair the Architecture Committee, define principles, and ensure delivery decisions reflect business outcomes across large delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering and architecture, with at least 4 years leading an architecture team or function, ideally in banking or another highly regulated, high-volume domain.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems on the Microsoft stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server, Oracle) and evolving monolithic systems into service-based architectures.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture practice: capability modelling, target state definition, roadmapping, governance and architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent).
• Strong command of microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, API design, cloud-native patterns and container platforms (Kubernetes).
• Experience running architectural governance bodies and design reviews in an organization with dozens of delivery teams.
• Ability to translate between executive, business and engineering audiences; excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow and develop a team of enterprise and solution architects; set standards for how architecture work is done, reviewed and communicated.
• Own the enterprise target architecture and the transition roadmap for the core banking, channel and integration landscape, including the coexistence of the legacy .NET monolith and the growing .NET microservices estate.
• Chair the Architecture Committee: define architectural principles, reference architectures, guardrails and decision records, and make sure they are applied in delivery rather than filed away.
• Provide architectural direction for the bank’s business process re‑engineering portfolio and major transformation programs, ensuring technology decisions are aligned with business outcomes.
• Steer critical platform decisions such as data platform strategy (including the readiness work for a core database migration), event-driven integration, API management and build-versus-buy evaluations of low-code and vendor platforms.
• Establish quality gates, non‑functional requirements and design review practices that measurably improve reliability, performance and change safety.
• Partner with Technology Platforms, Infrastructure, Security and Data teams to translate the architecture roadmap into funded, sequenced initiatives.
• Represent architecture in front of executive stakeholders; produce clear options, trade‑offs and recommendations for management decisions.
• Experience with core banking modernization, database platform migration (SQL Server to Oracle or similar) or payments and channel platforms.
• Familiarity with the Turkish banking regulatory environment (BDDK, BKM) and its impact on architecture decisions.
• Exposure to generative AI and agentic architectures in enterprise settings and to AI-assisted software delivery.
