Job summary

İltekno seeks an Electromechanical Service Technician to work on-site at a hybrid power plant in the Bahamas. You will join before installation, learn the site and system, and focus on post-commissioning service and operation.

The role involves field installation, commissioning support, and ongoing fault diagnosis and maintenance of high-power motors and generator systems, with coordination across the project team.

Qualifications

• Technician in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical qualification.
• Experience in energy projects and field installation/servicing.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Ready for long-term field assignments abroad.

Responsibilities

• Participate in field before installation and adapt to site layout and equipment.
• Mechanical assembly, electrical and instrumentation connections for engines.
• Install ancillary systems (fuel, cooling, lubrication, exhaust).
• Monitor engines and systems during operation; perform maintenance and fault handling.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinator and Warranty/Site Engineer; report records in Iltekno format.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Job description

We are seeking an Electromechanical Service Technician to work on-site at the Hybrid Power Plant to be established in the Bahamas, who will be responsible for the service processes after commissioning.

The candidate will join the project before installation begins, gaining close familiarity with the site and system during installation and commissioning. Their primary responsibility will be during the post-commissioning operation and service period.

Key Responsibilities

By partipating in the field prior to installation:

• Adapting to the field layout, equipment, and system,
• Actively participating in assembly and installation works,

For the MAN (Everllence) 20V35/44G engines:

• Mechanical assembly,
• Electrical and instrumentation connections,
• Hands-on involvement in the installation of auxillary systems ( fuel, cooling, lubrication, exhaust, etc),

Actively participating in commissioning and testing processes,

• Performing daily operational monitoring of engines and auxiliary systems,
• Carrying out planned/unplanned maintenance and service activities,
• Performing fault detection and troubleshooting,
• Providing technical coordination with the Service Coordinator and Warranty/Site Engineer,
• Reporting service, maintenance, and fault records in the standard Iltekno format,
• Working strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements,

Coordinate with local stakeholders, consultants, and the client’s representatives,

Required Qualifications

• Technician in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical,
• 10 years of experience in energy projects,
• Previous experience working on overseas energy projects,
• Experience in installation, commissioning, and/or servicing of high-power motors and generator systems,
• Service-oriented, able to take responsibility independently in the field if necessary,
• Able to perform electric/mechanic/electromechanical fault analysis,
• Good command of English (written and verbal),
• Suitable for long-term field assignments abroad,
• Disciplined, solution-oriented, and eager to work actively in the field,
• Experience with MAN (Everllence) or other brands of internal combustion engines.
